What Flavor is Your Financial Situation?

Bankruptcy Lawyer

Summer is here, and if you want to cool off, you think of ice cream.  What flavor do you pick?  Vanilla?  Chocolate? Rocky Road?  Think about your financial situation  the same way.  Is everyone’s situation plain vanilla, or does the person’s situation come with chips, nuts, or other flavors?  Is your situation plain vanilla?  No!  You might see attorneys advertising bankruptcy for one price.   Most likely, that is for a “plain vanilla” case.  In all of the 20-plus years I’ve been doing bankruptcies, I’ve seen “plain vanilla” cases on VERY RARE occasions.

Why is this so important?  Because when you call an attorney’s office, you might be asking for a price on a bankruptcy case.  Some attorneys might give you a number.  But, in reality, you won’t know what that number means.  Because your case will probably not be “plain vanilla”.  You have bills, a house, a family possibly, and a car.  You might be self-employed or running your own business.  So your flavor might be butter pecan, or mint chip, or even cookie dough!  What’s your best option? Bankruptcy, Foreclosure defense, or something else?

Some situations involve more problems, and more help than others.  One flavor, or type of money problem, might require Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.  Another flavor might require Chapter 13 Bankruptcy.  Another problem yet might just require negotiating debt settlement.

You need to discuss all of your situation, what your goals are, and what you want and need to do.  When you talk with us, you’ll find out what “flavor” your case is.  Then, we can determine how much a case would cost, and what it would do for you.  Everyone’s situation is different, like the many flavors of ice cream.  We’ll talk to you in detail in a free in-person consultation about your case so you know what would be best for you.

We have offices in Chicago, Gurnee, Oak Lawn and Skokie.
