How to Get on the Right Financial Track for the New Year

Bankruptcy Lawyer

Getting our money and finances straight is not easy.  Now is the time for resolutions, and 2014 is  the time to start setting things up so you can have a better 2014.  Even though I help people who are in financial trouble, it’s never too late to start with some easy money tips that could get you out of a rut, or guide you on the path up.  You may be able to recover from bankruptcy faster with these tips, or prevent bankruptcy all together!

It is pretty easy to put as much as you can in your employer’s retirement plan.  Many employers have matching programs, so it’s free money!  Start using an IRA or Health savings account, get health insurance, and organize your tax files.  You can keep retirement savings and health savings accounts in bankruptcy also.

And, be sure you don’t over-deduct from your paycheck!  If you are getting more than $1000.00 as a tax refund, you need to claim more deductions!  The large tax refund sounds great, but you are just starving yourself throughout the year!

Call us if you have money questions, or just need some fresh ideas on getting ready to make the most of the coming year!  We’ll give you “peace of mind”!
